"The first concept restaurant by dolce and Gabbana. gold is upbeat, sunny color, the color of energy, luxury and a new dolce vita, signifying a place for beauty and sensual pleasure."

The restaurant is located in Milan, it serves international Italian food, and has several levels including a downstairs bistro that opens at lunchtime and a more formal upstairs that serves dinner only.

Tom Ford Spring '11

“It’s about individuality,” says Tom Ford, pictured with model Karen Elson, wearing looks from his spring collection. “That’s why I put my own muses in the show—I hear them say, ‘I can’t find that anywhere!’ ”

“The seventies is what I love. Soft, touchable beauty is what I love,” says Ford.

MOCA's Annual Gala on Saturday was sponsored by Chanel Fine Jewelry. In honor of the fashion house I've posted some photos of classic Chanel pieces from a PR event in London. Also, I found this quote that Karl Lagerfeld said about Coco Chanel at a magazine interview a few weeks ago.

"Coco did a lot but not as much as people think or as much she herself taught at the end of her career. The first [mistake] was when she said 'Not one man I have spoken to likes a woman in mini skirts'. I think no one dared to tell this 86-year-old lady that miniskirts are great and really sexy. Number two was when she decided blue jeans were horrible. This was the fashion of the world at that particular moment - it was the Sixties. No one wanted to be told by an old lady that miniskirts and jeans weren't chic. The result was that she lost her power and in the end no one cared about what she did."
